Hans Swarowsky Exhibition, Vienna State Opera

Prior to the upcoming revised edition of Hans Swarowsky’s writings on Music, first edited by Manfred Huss for Universal Edition in 1979 (Wahrung der Gestalt), the Vienna State Opera House is hosting together with the Hans Swarowsky Akademie an exhibition titled Hans Swarowsky: Conductor – Teacher – Pianist – Translator. The revised edition of Wahrung der Gestalt, which will also contain new chapters, will subsequently also be published for the first time in English (Universal Edition) and Italian (Il Saggiatore).


Mozart: Three Salzburg Symphonies

This June, BIS Records has released Manfred Huss’s recording of Mozart’s Three Salzburg Symphonies
with the Haydn Sinfonietta Wien as latest addition to their long term collaboration. According to critics,
“The outstanding quality of these performances and recording may well set a new bar for future conductors and orchestras
that take on these works.”


Camerata Coahuila

This January, Manfred Huss returned to Mexico to conduct the Camerata Coahuila in a program of Beethoven and Strauss.


Haydn’s ‘7 last words’ at Brucknerhaus Linz

After his memorable debut at the Brucknerhaus Linz in December 2014 with Haydn’s Coronation Anthems,
Manfred Huss returns Linz with Haydn’s ‘7 last words’ (Haydn’s original version for orchestra from 1785).
Austrian critics awarded this performance with 4 and 5 star reviews, and the concert has been recorded by ORF
(Austria’s national broadcaster) for future broadcast. The recording will be partially released by BIS records
as part of Manfred Huss’s long term contract with the renowned Swedish label.
